Devops engineer

Methodology:
We work only Agile, according to a model adapted from Spotify (our Agile
implementation is unique in the market).

Area & Application type:
The IT Finance & Risk area is a new creation within the client’s IT
development organization in RO. The area is dedicated to the Client’s Finance business line.
The team's goal is to support the Analysis and DevOps activity for reporting flows and automation
solutions developed in collaboration with an external vendor on Linux technologies.

Team & Way of working:
The team for which we are currently recruiting has 4 IT members - 2
DevOps engineers and 2 Business/Technical Analysts). They work side by side with product owners &
service managers, at maintaining and improving applications developed by an external vendor on
Linux environment.

Technology & ideal candidate:
- Experience in a technical environment using Oracle Weblogic, Jboss EAP, Apache Web
Server, (RHEL/CentOS), Oracle SQL, bash, python, awk, sed
- Minimum 3 years of experience on a similar job

• Ability to encourage teamwork and to take responsibility.

The Mission:
As a member of our team your main focus will consist of DevOps engineer activities of for a team
dedicated to Finance & Risk business lines. The application portfolio includes third party solutions and
our daily activities are planned according to Agile way of working.

Your Day to Day:
• Configuration and maintenance of production application infrastructure components
• Ensures system availability is within agreed SLAs
• Able to provide support 24x7 during on-call rotation
• Implements changes on production systems in accordance with change management
procedures
• Implements active monitoring, identifies and tracks relevant performance indicators
• Tracks and implements the latest security patches
• Monitors, investigates and reports all possible issues related to the administered domain
• Always acts in accordance with the Client’s security procedures
• Works with Development, Infrastructure and Service management teams in identifying and
solving production and test environment issues
• Understands what a BCP requires and implements and maintains DR infrastructure
• Monitors system performance and takes corrective actions where necessary
• Maintains and regularly tests the backup plan
• Ensures high availability of the application
• Setup of test environments always considering that subsequent promotes on the production
environment have to be performed with minimal risk

What you bring to the team:
• Experience in managing Oracle Weblogic, Jboss EAP, Apache Web Server
• Experience with Linux operating systems (RHEL/CentOS)
• Knowledge of Oracle SQL
• Knowledge of shell scripting - bash, python, awk, sed
• Experience with complex projects
• Strong ability to communicate orally and in writing
• Good level of English
• Autonomy in executing tasks, preparation of advice, and decision making about the
implementation
• Perseverance – you deal with conflicts and setbacks and obtain a good and acceptable end
solution

Nice to know:
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with the following technologies is an advantage: MySQL / MariaDB, Elasticsearch,
Logstash, Kibana, Microsoft SQL Server, Zabbix, Grafana
• Professional certifications on the mentioned technologies represent a significant advantage
• Knowledge of and experience with Automation tools and processes (ansible, git)
• Experience using Agile methodology is a plus
