Database Administrator (Part-time)

At Microinvest, Moldova’s leading non-banking financial institution, we’re building smart financial solutions for real people — and we need a DBA (MS SQL & PostgreSQL) who’s ready to optimize, secure, and scale what matters most.
This is not your average DBA role. You won’t just babysit backups or fight fires. You’ll own database infrastructure end-to-end, support 1C Enterprise, lead tuning, and automate like a pro — all in a part-time setup.

What you'll be doing:

• Manage and optimize MS SQL Server & PostgreSQL across DEV/TEST/PROD;
• Architect robust backup/restore strategies, encryption & key management;
• Tune queries, indexes, execution plans; manage blocking/locks in 1C;
• Monitor health and performance using:
  → DMVs, Extended Events, Query Store, pg_stat*;
  → Observability stack: Zabbix / Prometheus + Grafana, alert tuning;
• Drive compliance: auditing, retention, access control, masking;
• Automate scripts in PowerShell/Bash/Python, version changes with Git;
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive strategies;
• Document, train, and empower Dev & Support teams with DB best practices;

What we’re looking for:

• 4+ years managing MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL in production;
• Hands-on with query tuning, HA/DR, replication, failover, encryption;
• Experience with ETL/migrations (SSIS, Airflow or similar);
• Automation mindset and scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python);
• Security-first approach: RBAC, auditing, secrets, vulnerability remediation;
• Bonus: 1C Enterprise DB support, 1C log analysis, cluster coordination;
